The adaptive engine runs in this browser (WebAssembly in an AudioWorklet). Segments arrive encrypted and are decrypted and decoded on-device. No audio is streamed from a server.
The demo key stands in for your backend: it mints a session token the same way POST /v1/sessions does with a tenant secret.
